The construction market ebbs and flows, and recent data now shows that nonresidential construction starts are experiencing an uptick.

The newest report comes from construction data provider CMD, which announced January’s level of U.S. construction starts, excluding residential work, was $24.7 billion, an increase of 9.8% from December. This increase is of particular importance since there is usually a decline at this time of year, due to seasonality.
