E2 Systems LLC has received the prestigious 2015 NOVA Award from the Construction Innovation Forum (CIF), for its Portable Modular Conveyor-Material Placer (PMC).
Michael and Carl Evangelista, owners of E2 Systems in Farmington Hills, Michigan, developed the Portable Modular Conveyor-Material Placer to provide a fast, efficient and cost-effective method of placing concrete before a slip-form paving machine.
The PMC uses a front end loader’s hydraulics to operate a conveyor belt system. The PMC moves flowable materials including concrete, asphalt, aggregate, sand and topsoil.
The 10,000-pound unit is lightweight and at just 8.5 feet wide and 21 feet long, its small size accommodates tight spaces. The PMC can place over 300 cubic yards of material per hour.

The PMC has been used on Michigan projects including the Carpenter Road reconstruction in Ann Arbor, the I-75 reconstruction near Saginaw and the Detroit Metropolitan Airport North Terminal, as well as a Chicago Transit Authority rail reconstruction on the Dan Ryan Freeway. The PMC has been sold to contractors around the country.
