Brokk AB, the world’s leading manufacturer of remote controlled demolition machines, introduces the Brokk 160 Demolition Machine to the North American market. The Brokk 160 combines powerful performance and a lightweight design to offer the capabilities and flexibility to handle the most challenging industries including cement and metal processing, construction and demolition, mining and tunneling, and nuclear, as well as other specialty applications.

Designed to meet the needs of customer requests, the Brokk 160 boosts the mid-range offering of Brokk models and is a powerful, lighter-weight replacement of the Brokk 180. Powered by a 25-horsepower electric motor, it’s 12-percent more powerful than the Brokk180 and offers the capacity and stability to carry all the same high-performance attachments. The unit features a reach of 15.8-feet with the included SB202 breaker.

The compact, lightweight nature of the Brokk 160 makes it easy to transport and permits operation on some of the most inaccessible jobsites. With a height of just 4.1-feet and width of 2.6-feet, the Brokk 160 is compact and low-profile enough to work in the tightest, most restricted areas, while the emissions-free motor allows usage in confined spaces. Furthermore, the remote control box enables the operator to remain a safe distance away from hazards such as falling debris.

Excluding attachments, the Brokk 160 weighs in at 3,527-pounds. Recommended maximum weight of attachments such as breakers, crushers, drills and shears is 595-pounds.

In addition to the 160, Brokk offers eight models, ranging in size from the Brokk 50, at just 1,100-pounds, up to the Brokk 800, at 11-tons. The company also engineers and builds custom machines with special equipment such as cameras, extended arms, side-angling devices and cable drums.
