Whatever your equipment needs are, Stephens has a plant for you. They have multiple types of plants, different styles and capacities. All of the Stephens plants are designed and built for seismic and wind loads depending on the operational location. This ensures your plant will meet local requirements and building codes.
“Unlike our competition, we consciously have chosen to guarantee our customers that every plant made by Stephens MFG will meet the local seismic, and wind loads for their job site,” said a spokesperson for the company. “The Empire and Stallion stationary plants are still our heavy-duty plants. We still have the DC-Colt decumalating plant, our ‘bread and butter’ Thoroughbred portable plants and the super-fast Eagle portable plant. We manufacture a complete line of equipment to compliment our plants.”
Truss conveyors, radial stackers, fly ash silos, screw conveyors, central dust collectors wash down racks and ready mix recycling machines are just a few of the items Stephens will build to complete your plant needs.
Building on to their existing line of reliable portable and stationary concrete plants, a few new items have been added over the past two years.
The new Falcon plant is an extremely large portable plant. The structure is designed to support two 1069 bbl silos and 200 tons of aggregate. This plant can save on several loads of freight and reduces the required foot space for a plant, giving more room for ready mix traffic around the yard.
The new Mustang plant is a mobile in-truss silo style plant. The silo is a 400 bbl and the bins are 70 tons. This plant is great for easy and quick installation and moving from site to site. This gives Stephens two in-truss style plants – the larger and much faster Eagle plant and the new, more mobile Mustang.
The new (RCC) Portable Mixer uses the Sicoma (twin shaft) mixer and is designed to convert any existing dry batch plant into a central mix and RCC plant. The mixer can batch over 5 yards of RCC concrete per batch (6yd, 8yd and 10yd mixers are available). It can produce over 200 yards per hour if the dry batch plant can supply the necessary concrete. Stephens can offer hydraulic options for leveling jacks, unfolding conveyor and raise/lower the truck collection hopper. The truck collection hopper will allow the mixer to load standard ready mix trucks and/or dump trucks.
The new self-erecting Pony Express 412 bbl in-truss silo with single axle transportation system includes 10” high-speed screw. Designed with or without hydraulic system to raise silo, two designs are available: with or without skid base frame. With skid frame, a concrete foundation or slab may not be required.
The newest in the line of Stephens plants is the Clydesdale plant, a low profile self-erecting plant. This plant can have accumulating or decumalating aggregate scales, with maximum of 100-ton agg storage. The cement silo is 385 bbl single compartment, with 14yd cement batcher, 30” or 36” transfer conveyor, 3” water meter and 15hp air compressor. The silo has two single-stage cylinders to erect the silo and the plant has four hydraulic lifting jacks. The plant is skid-frame based to reduce the need for concrete piers. Designed for fast and easy installation, quick-connect electrical connection can be available on the auxiliary silo and conveyors.
